By attending high school in the United States for at least one semester, you will be able to acquire an advanced level or even fluency in English.
How does the school year work?
In the US, the high school school year starts between August and September and ends between May and June. The American school semester lasts four or five months and the school year nine or ten months. Each institution has some freedom to define the beginning of classes. The end is defined by each school or school district and also by unforeseen events during the school year, such as the closing of the school due to natural events.
