f you want to visit Brazil and stay for over 3 months, a tourist visa for Brazil is not enough. So, you might be thinking of other options to extend your stay in this amazing country. Well, what about learning Portuguese while exploring one of the most beautiful countries on the planet? Getting a student visa for Brazil will allow you to stay up to 1 year in Brazil. Even more, actually. You can even extend your Brazilian student visa.
Student Visa for Brazil
There are two ways to get your student visa for Brazil. You can either apply for a Brazilian university or register for Portuguese classes at a language school in Brazil. As universities are much more expensive, learning Portuguese in a relaxed environment where you will meet other travelers like you is for sure a more attractive option.
It is important to notice that if you stay in Brazil for less than 3 months, you can study Portuguese under your tourist visa. There is no problem with that and you do not need to worry about the bureaucratic process.
However, if you are planning on staying in Brazil for a longer period, you need to apply for a student visa with the Brazilian embassy or consulate in your country of origin.
Before checking out what documents you need to get your student visa for Brazil, make sure you plan your trip ahead so you have enough time.
